Faruq Muhammad is the co-founder of the Nubian International Hand Dance Association, an organization that I am MOST proud to be a member of. As a DJ, Faruq revolutionized “hand dancing to a different beat”. His music compilations included hip-hop, soul oldies, reggae, afro beats, neo soul, adult contemporary and alternative jazz.
His challenge with his health has slowed him down…but not deterred The Spirit. Please read and help if you can.

OPEN LETTER FROM FARUQ
GREETINGS TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS
It is well known that in 2009 I suffered from two major surgeries, one dealing with a very rare form of cancer, and the other dealing with having a quadruple bypass.
At present I am having at least 7 physical therapy sessions per week, with five different therapist. I am also having at least two medical appointments per week as well as meetings
with a Social Worker and Case Manager. I also take over 25 pills, 15 different ones, every day.
The side effects from this medication as well as the effects from the deadly cancer and equally deadly cardiac problem, has, as you can imagine, reduced my efforts to be productive
to a almost complete standstill.
So a few members of my family and extended family, has built a website about me and we are asking that you forward this email to everyone in your address book. Funds are urgently needed to keep my alternative medical programs up to date because they don’t take insurance. I am already over $10,000.00 in debt.
Many thanks to Sister Mwangaza Bendele, I am seeing Brother Ian Noel, who provides homeopathy treatment along with many other services. I am totally impressed with his over standing of my condition and even more impressed with his belief that we can reverse my problems in a very short period of time.
Of course Freedom Ain’t Free and evaluation and for the medication he gives, I need about $200.00 per visit. .Then I see Sister Mwangaza Stephanie Brown, Priestess from the Temple of Nyame and I see her for acupuncture treatments. She charges between $75.00 to $100.00 depending upon
treatment. She has been extremely generous with putting me on a payment plan.
Then I see a massage therapist. As a result of my two conditions, I have a THIRD condition called lymphedema, which means my lymph nodes are blocked, resulting in extensive swelling of the legs, disfigurement of the skin, and highly susceptible to infections.
Please check out my website http://www.faruqfund.com/ and if you are in a position to make a donation click on the pay pal link and go from there. Your emails, phone calls, visits, and prayers, have been THE factors keeping me going as I’ve fallen many times in the past few months and you all keep
me going.
I give thanks for your attention to this correspondence and I also thank you for visiting my web page.
