The devastating tornado that passed through the Washington, DC metro area in June left one of our own experiencing extreme loss.  Nana Malaya Rucker Oparabea really needs our love and support right now.  Please read her heartfelt statement below and contribute as you can.

FAMILY…..
     I REALLY NEED YOUR SUPPORT!  Many of you have not seen or heard from me in a while.   I have NOT been hiding under a rock!  I HAVE BEEN RE-CUPERATING and working to recover from one of the MOST DEVASTATING EXPERIENCES IN MY LIFE!…
    FRIDAY, JUNE 22nd around 11PM, I received several alarming phone calls & then  a TEXT with a photo of a TORNADO………hitting my CONDO ….where I live! YES…. I said… A TORNADO……um….this is Not Kansas-right?!   If it were not for the photo with the ROOF removed from the ENTIRE building and the FIRE department on the scene….EVACUATING the area………I wouldn’t have believed it……..and still some days, I DON’T!
    TODAY, being one of those….HOWEVER, I truly need ALL MEASURES OF HELP from MY WORLD FAMILY!

The storm ‘blew the roof off the %&..@! and destroyed everything EXCEPT Malaya’s SPIRIT!  Let’s help her save her building and rebuild her life.
